Romans 8:31-39 Oremus class

Romans 8:31-39

“If God is for us, who can be against us?….For I am certain that neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor powers, neither height nor depth nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, our Lord.”

I found myself thinking about how all those people arrayed against us are merely creatures of the same God, the God I worship. Everything we know, we hear about, whether it be natural phenomena or human persons have been created by God. God is for us – we know that through Our Lord, Jesus Christ. So all these other things and people, whether for or against us, are creations of God. They have no power, except what He has allowed them to have. In the end, they have nothing and no power at all. While this life is uncertain, while it is full of problems, temptations and yes, even joy, it is nothing compared to what God has waiting for those who love and honor Him.

Reading this gave me a sense of peace.
