We all have a journey to make. Our journey begins at the moment that God calls our souls and bodies into life. Our journey ends in this fallen world when our loving God calls us home to live eternally with Him in His Heavenly Kingdom. Our journey takes us to many places over many often difficult roads. We can lose sight of our ultimate destination, as I did, and then struggle to find the correct path. Sometimes the roadmap is easy to follow; oftentimes there are detours and bumpy roads along the way and paths which we would prefer not to travel.
These posts have been written over a period of more than 15 years. Many of the posts are in the original order that they were posted on the blog. That means that the oldest posts are at the bottom of the page.
I have recently revised the original menu so that most the Bible reflections are now collected under one topic – Reflections from the Bible page. The Family Memories page now includes my posts about Journeying with Jill and my family’s Elder Abuse experience. The Life Experiences page now includes both the Experiences with Nature posts and Experiences with Family posts.
I am old now. Only God knows the paths which lie ahead of me. I am praying that the detours and bumpy roads I once took are behind me, that the road to be traveled now will be “smooth sailing” and without any road blocks. But having traveled these roads for quite a long while, I recognize that there are bound to be troubles ahead and further lessons to learn, as I continue my journey. I hope that some of what I have thought and written about will be helpful to to whomever reads these pages. Putting my thoughts down has helped me understand where I have been and where I am going.
May God bless you on your journey and may we all through the grace of our merciful God meet one day in His Kingdom.
